Curriculum Design and Assessment- UC Berkeley

In October 2015, I completed the Curriculum Design and Assessment class, a four-week course at UC Berkeley. The objective for this course was to help us develop curriculum and instructional plans in relation to our specific occupations, including the role of integrated academic and career technical education curricula. Topics covered in this course include the development and coordination of instructional objectives, strategies, activities, safety considerations, materials and student-assessment instruments in the preparation of unit and lesson plans.

This class was part of the Instructional Design Certification program offered at UC Berkeley. I had a wonderful experience and had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with professors from different parts of the US. The class was very project-oriented, and during it’s course, I was able to analyze, assess and adjust my own syllabi and teaching strategies based on direct feedback from the professor.

What They Said

"Wow!!!! This is really fabulous Ahmad. I've taken on-line courses before but none of them was as well structured as yours. I think what you've done here is very thorough and provides clear information about the course and your expectations. I really can't see anything missing that I would want to see if I were a learner in your class."
