Brainstorming With McGraw Hill

I was recently invited to join McGraw-Hill for their spring Principles of Marketing symposium series in Austin. The session that I attended was the first of the series and was geared toward new products currently in development, emphasizing innovation and a strong digital focus. This session explored teaching trends in Principles of Marketing, examined various learning tools, and provided the opportunity to network with instructors from across the States.

The discussion was centered around:

•The future and direction of the principles of marketing course
•Expectations for learning and skill development
•Fostering conceptual understanding and application
•Designing effective learning resources

There was also a roundtable forum composed of 15 instructors from across the country. Faculty members bring different experiences to the table, stimulating rich discussion both during the symposium program and in after-hours conversation. Participants impact the product decisions by providing input that helps develop better resources for instructors and students alike.
